Contact sports are often seen as a means to shed aggressive energy. The practice of an original exercise (in pre and post-tests) was carried out involving ten students whose activity was wrestling, and ten students who pursued swimming, to understand how the sport they followed effected their behavior. It was found that those who followed wrestling became more aggressive after the cycle while there was no change in the behavior of the other group. The experiment would not validate the cathartic effects usually lent to the wrestling.
